HISTORY

  Greater Vision Church began in September 2009 with a small but passionate congregation who shared one simple desire: to build a place where God’s presence could dwell and lives could be transformed. What started as a handful of believers gathered by faith quickly grew into a family knit together by prayer, vision, and a deep love for the Kingdom of God.

2009–2012: Humble Beginnings & A God-Led Restoration

  In 2010, just months into the journey, God opened the door to an old building that had been vandalized and left in disrepair.

Instead of being discouraged, the church rolled up their sleeves.

From 2010 to 2012, the congregation worked together to remodel and restore the building—turning what looked impossible into a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
As the ministry grew, God soon let us know that our time there was temporary. He was preparing us for more.
 
2012–2014: A Shared Space & A Season of Trust

  Greater Vision Church then moved into a new building, sharing space with another congregation.

While we were thankful for the place to worship, everyone felt a stirring that God had something bigger in store.

This season deepened our patience, unity, and trust in His timing.

2014–2020: A Storefront Sanctuary & Steady Growth

  In 2014, God opened the door to a storefront location that became home for the next six years.

This space witnessed growth, salvations, baptisms, miracles, and countless moments in God’s presence. It became a place where community was built and vision expanded.

2020–2022: The Driveway Revival

  When the pandemic season arrived and our building doors closed, the church did not.

From 2020 to 2022, Greater Vision gathered faithfully each week for Bible study in the home of Pastor Shane and Sis. Angel Chessor.

Every weekend, a tent was set up in their driveway, and God moved powerfully—proving once again that the church is not a building; it’s a people.

2022–Present: A God-Appointed Merger & A Miracle of Provision

  In 2022 came the call that changed everything.

​

  Pastor Antony and Sister Lorraine Goodhall reached out after much prayer and fasting. They shared that God had spoken to them clearly:

their church was to merge with Greater Vision, and the building was to be given — freely — into the hands of this congregation.

  This act of obedience and generosity became one of the greatest miracles in our church’s history. It marked the beginning of a new chapter filled with renewed purpose, fresh vision, and unstoppable momentum.

Today

  Greater Vision Church continues to grow as a place where families are strengthened, lives are restored, and the Spirit of God moves freely.

What began as a small congregation in 2009 has become a thriving church with a heart for revival, discipleship, community outreach, and genuine Apostolic ministry.

  We stand today as living proof that when God gives a vision, He also gives provision.
 

And the story is still being written.
